Arsenal are under pressure to make one big sale in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Gunners spent over £200 million on eight new signings in 2025, and Andrea Berta needs to recoup some money to balance the books.

The focus right now is on winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, but the summer transfer window will be an interesting one for a few players.

The Telegraph claim that Arsenal only need to make one major sale, and there are several players who could be shown the door. But there are five clear candidates.

Five players Arsenal could sell this summer

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus is currently Arsenal’s third-choice striker, and he will enter the final year of his contract this summer.

The Brazil international has been an unused substitute in four of Arsenal’s last five Premier League games, and that is likely to continue in the coming weeks.

Jesus has claimed that he wants a new contract, but the best move for all parties would be a sale this summer.

Ben White

It breaks our hearts to write this, but Ben White is a serious candidate to be sold.

The Englishman is easily one of the best defenders in the Premier League when he is fully fit, but injuries have troubled him a lot over the last year.

White is currently injured as well, and we think selling him for a good fee this summer would be the right thing to do.

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli’s numbers this season have been good. He has scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 18 starts, averaging a direct goal contribution every 116 minutes.

That is a great return on paper, but the Brazilian’s performances have been far from good in the Premier League, which is why he is the biggest candidate for sale.

Martinelli is still only 24 and has all the qualities to succeed in a different system. He could become a superstar in a foreign league. That is why we think Arsenal can sell him for big money this summer.

Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard will reach an interesting phase of his career this summer.

The Norway international is the Arsenal captain and a very important member of the squad. However, he earns big wages already and will enter the final two years of his contract in July.

Arsenal will have a decision to make at that point, and we won’t be surprised at all if Berta decides to cash in on him in order to sign someone even better.

Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard, like Jesus, will enter the final year of his contract at Arsenal this summer.

The former Brighton man is an excellent player, but he is 31 already, and it is time for the Gunners to sign an upgrade on the left wing.

Arsenal will not make as much money on Trossard as they will with Martinelli, but any fee for him would be beneficial, as he will leave for free a year later if he isn’t sold in the summer.
