Arsenal appear to have received a clear response on the future of Benjamin Sesko amid the latest links with a transfer for the striker.
The forward has been on the radar for the Gunners for some time, with the north London outfit failing to land him over the past summer transfer window.
It was claimed that Arsenal could land Sesko in the following summer transfer window, though the landscape has changed for the side.
With so many injury issues this season, especially in the forward areas, the focus of a potential striker signing has been pushed forward to the January window.
Arsenal Insider understands that Arsenal have made contact with RB Leipzig for Sesko, though it remains to be seen exactly whether a move could go through.
The Gunners may well have got their most clear answer yet though, following the latest round of Champions League fixtures.

Marco Rose responds to Benjamin Sesko transfer links
With Arsenal seemingly stepping up a move for Sesko in the coming weeks of the window, there’s been a slight twist.
RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose responded to the transfer talk, seemingly shutting down any potential of his club sanctioning a sale.
He told the press after his side’s 2-1 victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League: “Yes, that’s still the case [Sesko is unavailable for transfer].”
It appears to be a clear response to the recent contact made by Arsenal, though their resolve is still to be tested.
Given the desperation of the Gunners to add a forward, and the cards being in the hand of RB Leipzig, it would’ve been a surprise for the manager to claim the forward is up for sale.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will lodge a first bid to try and tempt the Bundesliga outfit into a move before the deadline passes.

Benjamin Sesko shows Arsenal exactly why they must sanction a transfer
While Kai Havertz impressed in Arsenal’s win over Dinamo Zagreb, the need for a new centre-forward option to help him out is clear.
Sesko could be the perfect option and he displayed exactly why in RB Leipzig’s Champions League win over Sporting CP.
The forward was on hand to slide in and slot away an effort from just a few yards out, gambling on a tempting cross across the face of goal.
It’s the type of finish that isn’t scored enough this season for Arsenal, putting away those efforts close to the goal.
At just 21 years old, Sesko is showing exactly why Arsenal are pushing so hard to sign him in the transfer window.
