Arsenal’s Hale End academy is set to pay dividends once again as the January transfer window is ready to bring in yet more transfer profit.

The club have worked hard to make one of the best academies in the world, hopeful that they can produce some of the brightest young stars for the future.

So far, that has paid off in the senior team as the likes of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly all make their impact.

If the heights of Arsenal are tough to reach though, players are well set up to move elsewhere while securing a transfer boost in the process.

With the January transfer window now open, the Arsenal academy is set to help the first team with another decent cash injection as a deal is on the cards for one former star.

Ex-Arsenal ace Mika Biereth set for AS Monaco transfer

Mika Biereth was one of Arsenal’s up-and-coming young stars in the academy, with the striker impressing across the youth levels.

The forward had several loan spells, featuring for RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell and Sturm Graz, where he was regularly finding the back of the net.

After his loan spell, Sturm Graz decided to seal a permanent transfer for Biereth, signing him for just £4million in the summer of 2024.

With 16 goal involvements in 16 Austrian Bundesliga games, along with two goals in the Champions League, Biereth has sealed his status as an exciting youngster at 21 years old.

With that in mind, some clubs have been circling a potential transfer for the ex-Arsenal man as Fabrizio Romano reports.

The transfer expert claims that AS Monaco have agreed personal terms with the striker over a potential switch.

While an agreement between the clubs is yet to be reached, talks are underway surrounding the possibility of a move.

Any switch could see Biereth pair up with former academy teammate Folarin Balogun – who also features for Monaco.

While that would be a good sign for the Hale End academy, any move would also benefit Arsenal as a whole this January.

Do Arsenal have a sell-on clause for Mika Biereth?

Fortunately, Arsenal do have a sell-on clause for Mika Biereth after selling him to Sturm Graz in the summer of 2024.

According to the Athletic, the Gunners inserted a clause when agreeing a move for the striker, which would see them earn some extra profit if a sale occurs.

With that in mind, any move for Biereth this January could result in extra transfer profit hitting the accounts for Arsenal.

It remains to be seen exactly how much, with talks still ongoing over a fee, but it’s certainly a boost for the north London outfit.

Whether it will be a substantial enough amount to conduct any big business remains to be seen, but it could help complete some moves for the next Biereth to come through.
