Arsenal are set to sell several fringe players this summer, and any incoming transfer fees will be welcome financial boosts.

Mikel Arteta is closing in on his first signing with Riccardo Calafiori agreeing personal terms with Arsenal, and this could mean several left-backs leave.

Arsenal will reportedly listen to offers for Oleksandr Zinchenko, whilst Jakub Kiwior is of interest to three Italian giants.

Nuno Tavares has also returned from an unsuccessful loan spell at Nottingham Forest, and is now of interest to Lazio and Ajax, and Arsenal are hoping they can make a profit off the defender, who joined in 2021.

Arsenal set asking price for Nuno Tavares amid transfer interest

A report from CaughtOffside has now revealed that Arsenal are looking for a fee between £10m-£12m for Tavares, who originally joined from Benfica for around £7m.

It is claimed that Ajax have begun talks over Tavares, but a deal is still some way off, whilst Lazio’s interest has not yet extended to formal talks.

Tavares is open to a move away, with it clear that he has no future in North London after one unsuccessful campaign under Arteta.

Arsenal bought Tavares as a promising but raw 20-year-old with limited experience at Benfica, but he failed to impress in 28 appearances.

Unsuccessful loan spells at Marseille and Nottingham Forest has meant that there may not be much of a market for the 23-year-old, but two sizeable European clubs are now interested in him.

It may be Tavares’ physical profile, as a speedy and powerful defender capable of playing on the wing, that has attracted interest in him, but it is clear that his time at Arsenal is up, and if Edu Gaspar can make a profit on him, he will be lauded by Arsenal fans.
