After securing the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, Andrea Berta’s focus at Arsenal has turned to selling players.
Gyokeres joined from Sporting CP for £63 million towards the end of July, becoming the Gunners’ sixth addition of the summer thus far.
While Arsenal still want to sign Eberechi Eze, they need to sanction some departures to raise funds and create squad space for the Crystal Palace man to come in.
Several squad players are now on the chopping block at the Emirates, including the likes of Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira.

Fenerbahce hold meeting with Arsenal for Oleksandr Zinchenko
Zinchenko has fallen out of favour at Arsenal in the last 18 months.
Arriving from Manchester City in 2022 for around £30 million, the Ukrainian was the Gunners’ first-choice left-back in the opening season-and-a-half of his spell in North London.
However, inconsistent performances and injuries have seen him drop down the pecking order, and he’s now firmly behind the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
With one year left on his deal, the 28-year-old is subsequently up for sale at the Emirates.
Fulham are said to be interested in the ‘unbelievable’ Zinchenko, although a more likely suitor from Turkey has now emerged.
According to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu, Fenerbahce have enquired about the defender’s situation.
The Istanbul club’s sporting director Davin Ozek held a meeting in England with Zinchenko and Berta, with the Gunners stating that they expect around €15 million (£13 million) for the player’s signature.
That said, Arsenal could facilitate the move and sacrifice some of this fee if Fenerbahce can reach an agreement with Zinchenko.

£13 million would be a good fee for Oleksandr Zinchenko
While it may not seem like a lot, £13 million could prove to be the small influx of funds needed to spark Arsenal’s move for Eze.
Even if it doesn’t prove to be that significant, it’s a good fee for a player who is very blatantly surplus to requirements in N5.
Arsenal have damaged Zinchenko’s value by hardly using him over the past season and clearly demoting him to a use-in-case-of-emergency option.
| Oleksandr Zinchenko’s Premier League Statistics 2023/24 | |
| Appearances | 27 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 2 |
| Pass Accuracy | 87.6% |
| Progressive Passes per 90 | 12 |
| Passes into the Final Third per 90 | 8.06 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 1.52 |
This, combined with his injury record, age and wages, means garnering even £13 million would be an impressive feat from Berta.
Zinchenko is undoubtedly a talented footballer with exceptional technical ability, but his salary would be among the highest at most European clubs.
Earning a purported £200,000-a-week with bonuses (via Caplogy), most potential suitors on the continent cannot afford to allocate this much of their wage budget to a 28-year-old full-back who may spend a significant portion of each season injured, and pay a significant fee at the same time.
