Arsenal are still in the market for one final addition this summer, although Andrea Berta will need to sanction some sales before making a move for another player.

The Gunners have been busy in the transfer market this summer, adding six players to Mikel Arteta’s ranks.

Viktor Gyokeres has arrived in a blockbuster £63 million move, while the likes of Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi have also joined the North Londoners for significant fees.

However, Arsenal are keen on adding one more, with the left-hand side of their attack still in need of strengthening.

Arsenal need to sell Leandro Trossard and one other to sign Eberechi Eze

It’s well documented that Eberechi Eze is now Arsenal’s primary target.

The Gunners are intent on landing the Crystal Palace man, whose £68 million release clause reportedly expired at the end of July.

While Arsenal were never intent on activating this clause, Palace are said to be stubborn regarding their valuation, which is around that purported fee.

That said, what the North London outfit are willing to pay may be irrelevant if they can’t shift some of the players at their disposal.

Speaking to the Latte Firm YouTube channel, journalist Sami Mokbel revealed that Leandro Trossard and one other Arsenal star will have to leave to raise funds and make room for Eze.

“Do I think Eberechi Eze to Arsenal will happen?” Mokbel queried.

“As of today, I would say it’s not happening. Where I think there might be leeway, is if they can sell Leandro Trossard and maybe one other, Eze could arrive as a multi-functional forward.”

Trossard has been loosely linked with Bayern Munich, while clubs in Saudi Arabia have also supposedly expressed interest in the Belgian.

However, due to age and wages, the Gunners may have to accept a rather minimal fee for the left-winger if they are to sell him this summer.

Who else could Arsenal sell to make room for Eberechi Eze?

If Arsenal do indeed need to sell two players to make room for Eze, they may have to facilitate a move for a player they don’t particularly want to lose.

It’s unclear whether Trossard and a player who is already surplus to requirements would be sufficient, or whether it would have to be the former Brighton man and another senior figure.

The likes of Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Sambi Lokonga and Reiss Nelson could all leave N5, but none of them are likely to garner significant fees.

Instead, someone who has more value may have to be sacrificed by Berta to fund the Eze deal.

Jakub Kiwior is wanted by several Italian clubs and could command up to £30 million.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli is another player who could be sold for a substantial amount, although losing both the Brazilian and Trossard in one window may leave the Gunners light on the left, even with Eze.
