Arsenal have informed Andrea Berta that he will be ‘heavily judged’ on big player sales during the next summer transfer window.

The Gunners are looking to rejuvenate their squad once again in the summer, and the Italian director is going to spearhead their activity in the window.

Along with new additions, Arsenal are hoping to offload several players who are now deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta.

This summer could see several high-profile departures at the Emirates Stadium, which is what Berta has been tasked with doing.

Andrea Berta tasked with selling well at Arsenal this summer

Arsenal are placing a strong emphasis on the club ‘selling well’ during the next summer transfer window, according to HandofArsenal.

Andrea Berta is expected to be ‘heavily judged’ on his player sales this summer in order to raise additional funds for new signings.

Berta has already helped to move on the likes of Albert Sambi Lokonga, Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira, Nuno Tavares, Marquinhos and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Kiwior for around £23 million is likely to be the most lucrative sale so far, but that will need to increase in the summer.

Ben White is one of the first names who could leave Arsenal, with the defender linked with several other Premier League clubs.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli could both make way for the arrival of a new winger, with both players struggling for consistency this season.

Even Martin Odegaard could be sold following the emergence of Max Dowman and Ethan Nwaneri, Eberechi Eze being signed last summer, and Bukayo Saka also able to play centrally.

Gabriel Jesus wants to stay at Arsenal until 2027; however, the Gunners are looking at a new striker, and he could end up returning to Brazil.

There are significant funds that could be raised there through player sales, and Arsenal are hopeful that Berta can successfully negotiate the club through a busy window.
