Catch all the latest Arsenal news and rumours, including updates on Benjamin Sesko, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Rodrygo.
Martin Zubimendi is expected to sign for Arsenal from Real Sociedad for £51 million, although the deal has been delayed for accounting reasons, with the announcement now expected at the beginning of July.
Andrea Berta has subsequently turned his attention to wrapping up a deal for a striker, having whittled his shortlist down to just two names.
Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are the two strikers identified by the Italian sporting director as Arsenal’s primary targets, and it now appears the former is the first-choice.
So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.
Arsenal advancing in talks for Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal Insider understands that Sesko is now firmly the Gunners’ top striker target, usurping Gyokeres.
Berta is pushing to finalise a deal with Leipzig for the Slovenian, while personal terms with the player aren’t expected to be an issue.
The prospective fee will be lower than the player’s £67 million release clause, although the exact amount and payment structure is yet to be agreed.

It’s looking increasingly likely that Sesko will become an Arsenal player.

Arsenal make Kepa Arrizabalaga priority goalkeeper signing
Arsenal are in need of a new back-up goalkeeper this summer, and after missing out on Joan Garcia to Barcelona, are looking for alternatives.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has returned to Chelsea after an exceptional season on loan at Bournemouth, and has a £5 million release clause in his contract at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners view Kepa as an excellent market opportunity and have now made the Spaniard their priority goalkeeper target.

The shot-stopper will have proposals from elsewhere, so it’s up to Berta to convince him to play second fiddle to David Raya at the Emirates.

Rodrygo is Arsenal’s priority winger target this summer
Rodrygo has emerged as a surprise target for Arsenal in recent weeks, and the Gunners are now preparing to step up their pursuit of the winger.
According to a report from Spanish journalist Rodra, Arsenal have made the Brazilian their priority acquisition in this transfer window, and are willing to make a lucrative proposal to Real Madrid and the player to seal the deal.
Rodrygo is yet to hold talks with new Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso about his role at the Bernabeu moving forward, but it’s thought that the 24-year-old will express his desire to play on the left-wing.

If Alonso cannot guarantee this role, Rodrygo is expected to consider his future after the Club World Cup.
