Andrea Berta is looking to make moves early this summer, with a number of deals progressing quickly already.
Martin Zubimendi is expected to sign for Arsenal for £51 million, although the deal won’t be announced until July for accounting reasons.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have whittled their striker shortlist down to two names, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, and are currently deliberating which to pursue.
So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.
Arsenal set to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea
Arsenal are in need of a new back-up goalkeeper this summer, following Norberto Neto’s exit after his loan spell at the North London club ended.
Reports emerged on Friday suggesting that the Gunners have identified Kepa Arrizabalaga as a potential option to fill this role in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The deal has now progressed to the point that the Athletic claim that Kepa is set to sign for Arsenal for £5 million.

Berta will activate this minimal release clause, and the Spaniard will likely become the Italian’s first addition at the Emirates.

RB Leipzig make Benjamin Sesko request
Arsenal are in direct talks to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, with these negotiations said to be developing quickly.
Sesko is currently away on international duty with Slovenia, but Leipzig have made a request to the Eastern European nation’s FA that he plays no part in their game against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old is carrying a minor knee injury, and the German club are keen for him not to exacerbate this injury, in fear that doing so could jeopardise his switch to N5.

The Slovenian FA have made no promises, as they feel he could yet recover in time for Tuesday’s game.

Sporting believe Viktor Gyokeres favours Arsenal move
Despite the advancement of the Sesko deal, Arsenal remain interested in Viktor Gyokeres.
Manchester United are also monitoring the Swedish striker, with Ruben Amorim invested in the idea of reuniting with his former striker.
However, the Mirror claim that Gyokeres will pick Arsenal over the Red Devils if it comes down to the two clubs.

Napoli have also been cited as a potential suitor for the 27-year-old, but the Gunners are deemed firm favourites.
