Catch all the latest Arsenal news and rumours, including updates on Viktor Gyokeres, Nico Williams and Alexsandro Ribeiro.

Andrea Berta is looking to conduct business early and efficiently this summer, although the Italian sporting director is encountering some issues on this front, particularly regarding the pursuit of a striker.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi are both expected to sign for the Gunners in the coming weeks, but beyond that, no deals are understood to be close.

Arsenal are set to host the Emirates Cup in August, after they play three games in Asia as part of their pre-season tour, and Arteta will want to have his squad assembled by the time these fixtures roll around.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Sporting to allow Viktor Gyokeres to leave for £51-60m

It’s well documented that Arsenal are considering signing one of Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko this summer.

The Gunners have held talks with both Sporting CP and RB Leipzig over potential transfers, although both clubs are holding out for fees that Berta isn’t willing to stump up.

That was until Saturday’s latest update on these sagas, with journalist Florian Plettenberg now reporting that the Portuguese giants are willing to accept a fee in the region of £51-£60 million for Gyokeres.

This change in asking price may ultimately dictate Arsenal’s choice, with the Swede now appearing the much cheaper option.

Nico Williams in talks with Barcelona despite Arsenal interest

Arsenal have been linked with Athletic Club’s Nico Williams for some time now.

However, excessive wages and a reluctance to leave his boyhood club have been cited as reasons as to why the Spanish winger won’t join the North Londoners.

That said, according to Fabrizio Romano, Williams is now in talks with Barcelona over a prospective move to Catalonia.

Soon after these reports emerged, Lamine Yamal posted a handful of images of him and Williams playing together for Spain on his Instagram story.

Arsenal interested in signing Alexsandro Ribeiro

Arteta wants to add another defender to his ranks this summer, with the likes of Marc Guehi, Jorrel Hato and Christhian Mosquera linked with Arsenal in the last month or so.

However, a new name has emerged on this front, with Brazilian publication UOL reporting that the Gunners have initiated contact with Lille over Alexsandro Ribeiro.

A crucial figure for the Ligue 1 side, it’ll be difficult for Arsenal to pry the 25-year-old away from Northern France, while they’re also expected to face competition from Napoli for his signature.
