Mikel Arteta will be expected to bolster his squad where necessary in the January transfer window.

Arsenal’s business in the summer transfer window represented five arrivals and several key departures.

While the majority of those that Arteta and Edu Gaspar recruited have been successes, there remains doubt over whether the Gunners have enough to win the title.

As a result, Arsenal could make changes in January when the transfer window opens and signings are not the only possibility next month.

Arsenal hint at Jakub Kiwior’s value amid transfer interest

One player who is on the radar of several clubs is Jakub Kiwior, who joined Arteta’s project from Spezia in January 2023.

Several Serie A clubs are eyeing Kiwior ahead of the January window, causing speculation to grow within the Gunners’ squad.

While it’s understood that Kiwior wouldn’t be opposed to leaving Arsenal in January, there’s a feeling that the Gunners feel differently.

That’s according to the Mirror’s update on the 24-year-old, who report that Arteta sees the value in the versatile defender within the Arsenal squad

The report details that the North Londoners are eager to keep the Poland international to offer depth to Arteta’s side but the club are aware of growing interest.

Within the Mirror’s report, it’s stated that Arsenal ‘still rate’ the player and feel Kiwior’s ‘value has increased’ since he was signed for £20m from Spezia, making it clear that a profitable fee will be required to lure the 24-year-old away.

Kiwior is in demand

Arsenal face a difficult situation with the defender particularly as the player’s form is turning around.

Kiwior impressed against Manchester United to prove his doubters wrong, being a stellar figure in defence in place of the injured Gabriel Magalhaes.

There’s difficulty in the fact that it’s not only Arteta who is seeing the defender’s resurgence, as several giant European clubs admire the Poland international.
