Arsenal could be set to lose one player in January as two European giants are prepared to battle.

Despite being only 12 games into the 2024/25 Premier League season, attention is already turning to the January transfer window.

Arsenal were busy in the summer transfer window, where Mikel Arteta welcomed five players to the Emirates.

There were some surprise exits during the summer, with early reports speculating that there could be further departures before the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Napoli and Juventus want to sign Jakub Kiwior

One player whose Arsenal future has been speculated is Jakub Kiwior, whose start to the season has been far from desired.

Kiwior has been criticised at international level as well as when representing Arsenal, causing his game time to be limited amid poor form.

There has been rumours that Juventus are interested in Kiwior and it’s now claimed that the Bianconeri aren’t the only side from Italy to admire the Poland international.

In Italy, television outlet Televomero reported Napoli’s interest in the Arsenal defender, as Areana Napoli relayed.

“Another market target could be Kiwior. According to the Televomero editorial team, he would be a strong name.

“The defender is playing with an eyedropper in his current club, Arsenal. The English could sell him if a suitable offer were to arrive.

“Juventus is also interested in the Pole. The Bianconeri management is in fact looking for one or two purchases in defence to strengthen the rearguard.”

The report relayed the belief in Italy that Kiwior can be pried away from Arteta’s grasp this winter if an appropriate offer for the £20m 2023 arrival is presented.

Players who could leave Arsenal in January

A January exit for Kiwior has been spoken about as the winter market fast approaches, with interest there in Serie A.

The Poland international joined Arsenal from Italian side Spezia, having made a name for himself in Serie A, hence emerging interest.

While Kiwior looks to be the most likely to leave the Emirates at this moment, he’s not the only player to be linked with a move away.

Jorginho has generated interest in Turkey with his Arsenal contract set to expire in the summer.

While it’s expected that the Italian will leave North London sooner rather than later, it’s unlikely that the Gunners will offload the Champions League winner before the expiry of his contract.
