Chelsea are currently working on a deal to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who was once a strong transfer target for Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

Back in 2022, Juve beat the Gunners to sign the Serbian striker; however, his time in Turin has been hit and miss.

The 26-year-old has just scored 64 goals in 162 appearances for the Bianconeri, but now he could finally be on the move again.

Vlahovic is set to become a free agent in the summer, and several European clubs are now lining up to sign him.

Chelsea inquire about former Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic

Chelsea are now among the clubs that have been in contact with Dusan Vlahovic over a move, according to Calciomercato.

In the summer, Vlahovic will leave Juventus for free, as right now, the club from Turin have been unable to agree on a new contract.

Currently, he earns around £10 million per year, which Juve are unable to offer him and he is looking at his options ahead of next summer.

Liam Rosenior could now bring the £66m striker to West London, four years after Arteta tried to do the same.

Back in the 2022 January window, Vlahovic rejected Arsenal’s offer to sign him and instead remained in Serie A.

Even after being rejected, Arteta remained keen on Vlahovic, but a move never happened, and the Gunners have since moved on.

This season, the striker has six goals and two assists in 17 matches for Juve, and it will be fascinating to see how he fares in the Premier League.

Arsenal now want to sign Julian Alvarez

Arsenal could well be on the hunt for a striker next summer following Viktor Gyokeres’ poor showing at the Emirates Stadium.

Julian Alvarez appears to have emerged as one of Andrea Berta’s top targets for next summer and a player who could take the Gunners to the next level.

Arsenal’s interest in Alvarez is genuine, and Atletico Madrid’s recent move for Ademola Lookman could be great news for their pursuit.

Thierry Henry loves Alvarez and has already urged his former club to sign the Argentine attacker.
