Arsenal are open to strengthening their side on this summer’s Transfer Deadline Day.
Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have already brought in Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino, while David Raya’s loan was turned into a permanent deal as well early in July.
Arsenal are looking to sign Joan Garcia next in order to replace goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who is set to sign for Southampton before Friday’s deadline.
That would make this a good window, but what would make it great would be to see Edu and Arteta bring in a new forward.
Fabrizio Romano says Kingsley Coman is the ‘perfect solution’ for Arsenal
Arsenal could do with a new winger before this summer’s transfer window shuts.
The Gunners have Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left and Bukayo Saka on the right, while Reiss Nelson is the backup option on both sides.
However, Arteta should still look for a top-class wide player, preferably someone who can play on either side of his striker this season.
Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman would be a great option.
The Frenchman, branded as a ‘very fast‘ player by Pep Guardiola, is surplus to requirements in Vincent Kompany’s side, and he is widely expected to be sold before Friday’s deadline.
It remains to be seen where he’ll end up, but Fabrizio Romano believes Coman would be the ‘perfect’ signing for Arsenal.
Romano said on the Men in Blazers YouTube channel: “I’ll mention one name, that is Kingsley Coman.
“Kingsley Coman – he has some possibilities in Saudi and he’s on the list of Barcelona. For Arsenal, he could be a perfect solution.
“The problem there is a salary because he’s on a big salary at Bayern. I think they can do one more after Mikel Merino.”

The latest on Arsenal and Kingsley Coman
Romano’s claim about Coman and Arsenal was merely a suggestion, but it could actually happen now.
Reports have claimed that Arsenal have explored a late move to sign Coman from Bayern Munich as the German giants look to move him on.
However, the big stumbling block for the Premier League runners-up is his salary. Coman currently pockets around £300,000-a-week at Bayern – higher wages than any Arsenal player.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal are keen to sign Coman and they would have no problem with his wages. But, if he comes to Arsenal, he will have the opportunity to continue playing at the highest level.
It will be interesting to see what will happen, but if Arsenal can get Coman on loan, it would be a brilliant bit of business from Edu.
