England U21 defender now admits he’d love to play for Arsenal

England U21 and Preston North End defender Thierry Small has now admitted that he would love to play for Arsenal one day.

The highly rated full-back was asked which club he would want to join in the future, and he replied by saying the Gunners.

The 21-year-old has been impressing in the Championship for Preston North End this season following his summer move from Charlton Athletic.

Back in October, the youngster made his debut for England U21 and is evidently one of the top-rated full-backs in the country.

Thierry Small has just admitted that he would love to play for Arsenal when asked about his dream club.

When asked by Ian Abrahams which club he would love to play for in the future, the defender told him: “Arsenal.”

The teenager is a highly rated full-back who can play on either side and also in midfield, making him a versatile option.

Small came through Everton’s academy before making the switch to Southampton, and following several loan spells, he is now at Preston.

His performances for Preston this season saw him earn his first call-up for England U21, where he made his debut against Moldova and then against Ireland during Euro U21 qualifying.

During his time with the England youth set-up, the defender will have had the chance to play alongside Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal are looking at full-backs, with Tino Livramento an option, but perhaps the Preston star is a player the Gunners could now assess.

This season, the defender has made 34 appearances in the Championship, scoring three goals and two assists, and is one of the top defenders in the division.

Previously, many former EFL stars have admitted their love for Arsenal, including Antoine Semenyo and Eberechi Eze, so Small is one to keep an eye on in the future.
