Andrea Berta could inflict more pain on Tottenham following Arsenal’s hijack of Eberechi Eze.
If stealing the Englishman from Spurs’ grasp wasn’t painful enough for Arsenal’s rivals, Eze then scored a hat-trick against Tottenham to really rub salt in the wounds.
The attacking midfielder was ready to make the move to N17 before Berta made his dreams come true in N5.
Being a boyhood Gooner, it was only ever Arsenal for Eze, which, to Spurs’ horror, could be the same situation for their new top transfer target.

Tottenham are interested in Arsenal fan Antoine Semenyo
Fabrizio Romano gave a fresh insight into what Tottenham are plotting in the January transfer window when speaking on his YouTube channel.
Antoine Semenyo’s £65m release clause appeals to Thomas Frank, and for good reason.
Romano stressed that Spurs are ‘really interested in Semenyo’, even more so than Manchester United and Manchester City, who also hold interest.
Should Arsenal activate Antoine Semenyo’s £65 million release clause?
It was the Lilywhites whom Romano kept going back to, describing Tottenham’s interest in the winger as ‘very aggressive’, but one part of the update really stood out.
“Tottenham are very interested, but this depends on the player,” Romano said, which might’ve been a lightbulb moment for Berta.
Semenyo is an Arsenal fan, so the chances of him preferring a move to the Emirates over Tottenham are high, setting Berta up to possibly orchestrate another hijack.
Arsenal can’t let other clubs entertain a transfer race for Semenyo
Arsenal can afford to sign Semenyo in January, but Romano’s update didn’t indicate any direct interest from the Gunners.
That doesn’t mean that things can’t change, particularly as it’s so clear that Arsenal need a winger on the left side.
Prove me wrong: Signing Antoine Semenyo in January hands Arsenal the Premier League title.
Semenyo has what Arsenal desperately need: a goalscoring presence in the wide areas from a right-footed player.
Given the season that the 25-year-old is having, and that he’s available for £65m, Arsenal can’t watch the transfer race unfold as spectators.
It would be fascinating to see Berta consider Semenyo, particularly as a move could devastate Tottenham.
