Five winter transfer windows still open in 2025 as Arsenal stars still look to complete exit

The January transfer window has firmly slammed shut in most of Europe’s major leagues, including in England, putting an end to most business for Arsenal.

It ended up being a quiet transfer deadline day for the Gunners, despite the need for a new forward addition or two.

While a signing may have been tough, there were also very few exits, with Maldini Kacurri joining Bromley on loan as the only one for the day.

That has left a few Arsenal fringe players and Hale End academy stars with a bit of an uncertain rest of the campaign before the window in Europe’s major leagues reopens again.

That’s not to say some moves couldn’t be on the cards in the next few days though, as some transfer windows are still open around the world.

Which transfer windows are still open in winter 2025?

While most of the major transfer windows around the world in Europe and beyond are closed, there are still some major nations capable of working through some deals in the weeks ahead.

Netherlands

Teams in the Netherlands have one extra day to get their own transfer business in order within the window over their European counterparts.

The Eredivisie sides can register new signings to their squad up until 11pm on February 4th, 2025, with giants such as Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar all looking to land some final deals.

Austria

An extra few days have been given to teams in Austria who may be looking to add more players to their squad in the final hours of the transfer window.

Arsenal have previously conducted deals with teams such as Sturm Graz in the past, while giants RB Salzburg could enter the market for reinforcements after a rocky season.

Turkey

One of the major nations often left late in the market is Turkey, with plenty of big clubs looking to land some deals at the 11th hour.

Such late blockbuster moves include that of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray in the 2024 summer transfer window after he failed to make a move elsewhere after the deadline passed in major European nations.

Australia

The Australian A-League is a division that is growing in reputation as plenty of big names make their way over to English football.

Whether some moves could happen the other way remains to be seen, but the window remains open for some deals until February 12th.

Brazil

With almost another whole month to play with, the Brazilian Serie A could still be set to complete some big moves.

One such move could see Jorginho join Flamengo following reports of the midfielder agreeing on a pre-contract deal with the side.

It remains to be seen whether any other Arsenal stars could also make the switch to South America.
