Forget Gabriel Martinelli, Bayern Munich now want to sign ‘phenomenal’ Arsenal teammate

Arsenal are bracing themselves for interest from Bayern Munich in one of their star players.

Gabriel Martinelli is wanted by Bayern Munich but it is believed that the Gunners want to keep the Brazilian winger at the club and give him the chance to excel this season.

Martinelli was electric during the 2022-23 campaign but has struggled for form and fitness in the last two seasons. His excellent end to last season has renewed hope he is nearing his best once again.

Now it appears the German giants are turning their attentions to another of Mikel Arteta’s star players and could be preparing an imminent move.

Bayern Munich interested in signing Leandro Trossard

According to journalist Christian Falk, German champions Bayern are now ‘interested’ in acquiring Leandro Trossard this summer.

Falk has claimed that the Belgian is now on the club’s list as talks over a move for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz are proving to be a challenge.

Arsenal are open to selling Trossard despite entering into contract talks with him earlier this year over an extension to his time in North London.

The 30-year-old has recently changed agent and is now represented by German advisor Dirk Hebel. The winger could also be lured by the chance to team up with former international teammate Vincent Kompany.

The Gunners will be hoping that Bayern do turn their attentions to Trossard with his sale reportedly crucial to Andrea Berta’s plans to bring in further attacking firepower to the squad.

Arsenal want to sign Eberechi Eze but the sales of the likes of Trossard and Fabio Vieira are said to be key to this deal being completed.

Trossard has the better record in the Premier League and has shown his ability to make an impact in the big moments.

However, Diaz is slightly younger than the Belgian and Bayern may view the Liverpool winger as more of a long-term investment in their side.
