Arsenal fans are starting to see Andrea Berta in full flow during this summer’s transfer window.

Arsenal are set to sign Noni Madueke with journalist David Ornstein claiming an agreement is close between the Gunners and Chelsea in a £52m deal.

News of Madueke comes as Arsenal completed the signing of Christian Norgaard to bolster their midfield options following a number of departures from the area this summer.

However, Arsenal fans are not fully sold on Madueke and are crying out for the club to add more creativity and a centre forward. They could be about to get their wish and thanks to an unlikely source.

Arsenal now more likely to sign Eberechi Eze following £110m Tottenham Hostpur transfers

Mikel Arteta could now have a free run at one of his major transfer targets this summer thanks to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have had a spending spree in recent hours, announcing the £55m transfer of Mohammed Kudus and are close to agreeing a £60m deal for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal had held some interest in both players but are now focussing their attentions on Eberechi Eze with the player having a release clause set at £68m.

Eze is keen to join Arsenal and Berta has opened talks with Crystal Palace over their talisman. The Italian is believed to be negotiating the payment structure of the player’s release clause.

Eberechi Eze would bring dynamism missing from Arsenal’s attack

Martin Odegaard was a much maligned figure at Arsenal last season with frustrations surrounding the performances of the Norwegian.

Odegaard picked up a serious ankle injury back in September and never really looked the same player upon return – lacking that cutting edge and decisiveness in his final actions.

Whilst the captain will likely start the season as Arsenal’s number ten and may well return to his best form following a full pre-season, Eze’s arrival would give Arteta another option in his forward line.

Eze can play as a number ten and provide competition to Odegaard or he can play from the left flank, drifting inside to open up space for an overlapping left back.

His creativity and ball striking are traits that will excite supporters at the Emirates next season and it is a deal that brings many positives to the squad.
