The 28-year-old is still building back up his fitness at Arsenal after returning from 12 months on the sidelines, but faces strong competition for a starting spot.

However, Jesus is backing himself to get minutes at Arsenal ahead of this summer’s World Cup, and is ready to reject any advances to leave.

Gabriel Jesus is ready to reject interest from Brazil to stay at Arsenal

Gabriel Jesus is ready to reject interest from Brazilian clubs in a bid to remain at Arsenal, according to Dean Jones.

His former club, Palmeiras, are currently working on a deal to bring him back, although he is making it clear that he’s fully committed to Arsenal.

Speaking about the situation, Jones told Ranks FC: “Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has attracted interest from Brazilian giants Palmeiras ahead of the new season. The club are exploring whether a return to Brazil would be financially viable.

“Despite that interest, Jesus has made it clear to Arsenal that he wants to stay at the club for the long term. The striker remains committed to fighting for his place and contributing to Mikel Arteta’s plans.”

Change our mind: Kai Havertz is comfortably Arsenal’s best striker when fit…

Or are you picking Mikel Merino, Gabriel Jesus or Viktor Gyokeres over him?

Arsenal fans fear Jesus is finished following his display against Nottingham Forest, as the Brazilian striker struggled off the bench.

Arteta’s decision to ease Kai Havertz back into the team seems to be hindering results, as both Gyokeres and Jesus are struggling.

Gabriel Jesus says he is helping Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal

Jesus has revealed that he is helping Viktor Gyokeres to become a success at Arsenal.

Ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Inter Milan, Jesus told the media: “Vic is an amazing guy, you know. Unfortunately, when he came, I wasn’t here because I was injured and I was doing my rehab in Brazil with my family.

“But since I came back, we have a good relationship. We talk about football, we are the same age, but obviously, I have played here in the Premier League longer than him, so sometimes I give my opinion.

“Sometimes he helps me with stuff he knows. He’s a top striker, he scored a lot of goals at his previous club, and I’m sure he will find a way to do the same for us.”
