Arsenal are preparing to face Southampton in their final match of the 2024-25 season.

Mikel Arteta’s side will look to end the season in style with three points at St Mary’s Stadium before attention turns to a massive summer for the football club.

Ethan Nwaneri’s future is in doubt as Premier League clubs begin to circle around his uncertain contract situation.

Fans have reacted to Jason Ayto’s departure from the club as the assistant sporting director leaves his role alongside Andrea Berta and the Italian has already set to work in trimming the Arsenal squad.

Hale End trio to depart Arsenal this summer

According to Arsenal academy expert Jeorge Bird on X, the club are set to announce the departures of three Hale End stars this summer.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji is expected to join Jimi Gower and Jack Henry-Francis in leaving the Gunners following the expiration of their contracts.

The trio have all been involved in and around the first team in recent months and Butler-Oyedeji saw some Premier League minutes last month in the victory away at Ipswich Town.

Henry-Francis and Gower were also named in the Champions League squad that won at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid but they are now set to join Khayon Edwards in finding a new challenge this summer.

Where next for Arsenal’s departing Hale End trio?

Arsenal Insider brought the news of the departing Hale End stars after Arsenal’s victory over Real Madrid back in April and now the youngsters have to carefully consider their next step in their careers.

Norwich are interested in Butler-Oyedeji however it remains to be seen whether Jack Wilshere’s departure from the club has any impact on that potential move.

With experience in and around Arteta’s first-team squad, the young stars should be looking to secure moves to Championship sides in the next phase of their development.

Newly-promoted sides such as Wrexham and Birmingham are known to be looking for young Premier League talent, whilst the Gunners have close ties with the likes of Watford and QPR.
