Arsenal Insider understands that Arsenal are not concerned by the latest comments Martin Zubimendi has made regarding his future and a potential transfer elsewhere.

It comes as Arsenal are expected to sign Martin Zubimendi this summer, with all the paperwork believed to be done.

A medical awaits the Spaniard, before confirmation over a switch to the Emirates Stadium, making him the first signing of the Andrea Berta era.

Real Sociedad have requested that Arsenal sign Zubimendi in July, due to their financial accounts, explaining why there is such a delay in the announcement.

While fans patiently wait for the Gunners to seal the 26-year-old officially, recent concerns have appeared over the move.

Arsenal are not concerned by the latest Martin Zubimendi transfer comments

Martin Zubimendi has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid in recent months, with Los Blancos linked as a potential suitor.

That had struck some fear into some Arsenal fans, who were hopeful that the Spaniard would be signing with the Gunners.

Those fears were only heightened when Zubimendi hinted at options for a transfer beyond the Gunners this summer.

He told the press, while on international duty with Spain: “Of course, there are options, but it’s true that it seems like it’s going to be a different, long summer, and I don’t know how it will end.

“I don’t think thinking about that right now is my priority. I’m here with the national team, which I think is already quite demanding, and if I have to say something, then I will.”

While there was uncertainty from fans as to whether the midfielder was playing coy or was genuinely looking at other options, the truth seems much different.

Arsenal Insider understands that there are no concerns at Arsenal after Zubimendi’s recent interview, with a deal still expected to go through, should his medical pass without a problem this month.

It should put plenty at ease over the transfer situation, even if there is a delay in announcing it anytime soon.

Arsenal fans can get an early glimpse of Martin Zubimendi before transfer

While Arsenal fans wait for confirmation of Zubimendi’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium, it won’t be too long until they get a glimpse of him in a red shirt.

That red shirt, in this instance, is that of the Spanish national team as he takes to the pitch with his international teammates for the UEFA Nations League semi-final.

With the June international break here, Spain take on France on Thursday, June 5, with a place in the competition’s final up for grabs.

Zubimendi will be looking to make an impression, alongside future Arsenal teammates Mikel Merino and David Raya.

It remains to be seen if they can do it, but Arsenal supporters will get a first chance to look at the future signing in action before he signs.
