Arsenal eye Mohammed Kudus transfer

It’s not only on the pitch that the manager is working to improve, with a lot going on behind the scenes.

Not only are Arsenal searching for a new sporting director, but are also looking ahead to the summer transfer market.

In his Daily Mail column, journalist Sami Mokbel reported during the international break that Mohammed Kudus is of interest to the Gunners.

Mokbel reported West Ham United’s stance on interest in their star player, stating that the Hammers are expected to stand firm on the forward’s release clause.

Kudus has an £85m release clause in place, meaning that anything under such price will be discarded by those at the London Stadium.

Arsenal’s interest in the former Ajax sensation was confirmed, making it clear what it will take for the Gunners to hire the 24-year-old in the summer.

Liverpool also want to sign Kudus

While Arsenal’s interest is encouraging, Arteta isn’t alone as being a manager with admiration for the Ghanaian.

The Daily Mail’s update also reported on Liverpool’s stance on Kudus, saying that the Reds join Arsenal as one of the sides ‘monitoring’ the Premier League ace.

Added to the two clubs listed, it’s expected that the Irons will brace themselves for offers in the summer, with a host of clubs in the English top-flight possessing concrete interest in the West Ham star.
