He was asked about how his son felt about Gyokeres leaving the club, to which he said, via O Jogo: “He always finds a way.
“It doesn’t worry him. If it’s not Gyokeres, someone else will come along, or he already has someone in mind.”
It certainly suggests that a move for Gyokeres seems likely this summer, whether that is to Arsenal or elsewhere.
However, after all this time, Arsenal will be keen to get Mikel Arteta the striker he needs to compete at the top level.
