Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has emerged as a dream transfer target for Juventus.

The Dutchman was at the heart of the Gunners’ success over the 2024/25 calendar, starring as Mikel Arteta’s favoured right-back.

Signed as a centre-back and playing both on the left and right side of defence, Timber’s versatility has seen him become crucial to the manager’s plans.

After an incredibly impressive season, Timber earned high praise, which has caused him to become a dream target for Italian giants Juventus.

Juventus dream of signing Jurrien Timber from Arsenal

The idea of Timber leaving Arsenal is almost comical, but that hasn’t stopped Juventus from setting their sights on the Netherlands international.

According to TuttoSport, newly-appointed general manager, Damien Comolli, has made the Arsenal star a ‘dream’ target.

That being said, Comolli understands how difficult it would be to pry Timber from Arteta’s grasp, as the outlet dubs the 24-year-old as having the potential to become one of the world’s best.

TuttoSport speculate that Timber has a market value of €50m (£42m), which is staggeringly below what those in N5 would consider the Dutchman’s price tag to actually be.

With all things considered, Comolli is ‘exploring’ what room Juventus have to attempt to manoeuvre the dream transfer, which would surely be laughed at by Arsenal.

Timber has been in the headlines

Despite Timber being the dream, Juventus are aware that Arteta’s love for his right-back makes a move far from easy to pull off.

Though the 24-year-old was one of Arsenal’s best performers last season, he sometimes slips under the radar due to just how consistent he is.

Performing at such a high level week in week out is the norm for Timber, but recently, the defender has been in the spotlight for reasons other than his brilliance.

Speaking in an interview during his summer holidays, Timber spoke about his injury and suggested that Arteta wasn’t aware of the extent of the pain he was in.

The Dutch superstar played through the pain as the Arsenal manager wanted him to be a part of the squad in the Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League final.

The situation only reinforces just how highly Arteta rates the full-back, making Juventus’ dream one that Comolli can surely only fantasise about.
