Arsenal’s summer transfer plans are being put into place, with Andrea Berta looking to make the signings that will make a difference for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are staring at another second-place finish in the Premier League this season, with Liverpool crowned as champions already.

In the Champions League, Arsenal are trailing PSG and will need a comeback in the second leg to book a place in the final.

There will need to be some improvements made over the summer, with Andrea Berta handed a huge remit at the Emirates Stadium for a change in the squad.

In terms of arrivals, Arsenal are looking at a striker as the top priority, but a winger is also on the cards for the side.

With Arsenal looking to strengthen their scoring options, plenty of wingers are being assessed for their potential to improve the team.

Among those is Bryan Mbeumo, who has been heavily linked with a switch from Brentford over the coming months.

Arsenal were rumoured with a £50million transfer for Mbeumo in January, but never got a deal over the line to bolster their ranks.

This summer could see the Cameroonian international leave Brentford, though, potentially opening up a move for Arsenal.

Manager Thomas Frank admitted as much when he spoke to Sky Sports. stating: “I’m the head coach, I want my best players to stay forever.

“I know Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford. He is thriving, he’s doing well, he’s playing fantastic. What happens in the future? I don’t know. I’ve said many times, we are a selling club.

“If the right price, and that’s going to be expensive, is coming, I’m pretty sure that the club will be open for it.”

While Arsenal have shown interest in the past, it remains to be seen whether he is someone who could be on the cards this summer.

Another link has seen Arsenal interested in Nico Williams, who has a release clause in his deal, which could make it simpler to complete.

Thierry Henry has predicted Bryan Mbeumo transfer exit soon

With his pace and finishing ability, Mbeumo has often drawn some comparisons to Thierry Henry during his time.

The Arsenal legend had some similar attributes and regularly showed up on the biggest stage for the Gunners.

Henry himself has already spoken about Mbeumo, praising him back in February on Sky Sports, when he said: “Yes, he is [a gem], and I like the way he has evolved as a player and obviously I know him from before, he used to play for the [France] under-21 team before changing nationality but I like the way he goes about it.

“I like the way he finishes, the way he asks for the ball in behind, he can press very well, he has an eye for a pass also. I think he’s a very good player.

“I don’t know how long he’s going to stay at Brentford…, but you can see how some teams can be interested in him at the end of the season.”

Whether Arsenal are one of those teams is unclear, but it could be an option now that Brentford seem open to a sale at the right price.
