Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is working freely in the summer transfer window, but not without upsetting people.
In North London, the opinion of the Italian couldn’t be higher right now, as the Gunners look close to welcoming another three new signings.
Arsenal fans are charmed by Berta, who is close to finally handing Mikel Arteta the striker he’s been dreaming of for some time.
Aside from working on deals with Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke, another player is on his way to N5 to undergo a medical.

Valencia’s manager is not happy with Andrea Berta
Arsenal made their interest in Cristhian Mosquera known to Valencia weeks ago, but the Spanish club have been reluctant to let the centre-back go.
Valencia offered the 21-year-old a new contract in order to stay, only to be met with the player’s wishes to move to the Premier League.
Mosquera has now confirmed that he will leave Valencia, upon travelling to London to complete his transfer to Arsenal, and it’s fair to say those in Spain are not happy.
As reported by journalist Jordan Davies, Valencia’s manager, Carlos Corberan, formerly of West Brom, is ‘fuming’ with the club’s decision to let Mosquera go.
The manager’s stance is unsurprising, as Mosquera was a firm starter from the moment Corberan arrived at the club in late December.
For the Spanish coach, the decision is all the more perplexing as it’s understood that Arsenal were willing to wait until next summer to poach Mosquera if their offer was not accepted.
Valencia have come to an agreement with Arsenal regarding the player’s sale, leaving Corberan without his star centre-back.
Berta wanted Cristhian Mosquera at Atletico Madrid
Arsenal pushed hard for Mosquera, and it’s no surprise why.
Not only is the 21-year-old a top central defender with senior experience under his belt, but he’s a player whom Berta has admired for some time.
In his update, Davies noted that Berta wanted to sign Mosquera at Atletico Madrid last summer but was priced out over a £26m deal.
A year later and Arsenal have agreed a deal worth only £17m for the defender, a transfer that has upset Corberan at the Mestalla.
