Following the club’s frustrations in front of goal in recent weeks, there’s now a swell of Arsenal supporters calling for Mikel Arteta to attack the January transfer market.
Manchester City, who have faltered even more than Arsenal this season, are already making the most of this month’s window, chasing several deals to strengthen the options available to Pep Guardiola.
And in turn, Arteta will surely be hoping that Arsenal are able to bring at least one new attacking talent to the Emirates Stadium.
Bukayo Saka won’t be back any time soon, and Arsenal are at risk of their season being over before the Hale End Academy graduate returns.
That being said, Arsenal could perhaps spark an opportunity by raising funds from player sales this month.
Arsenal have ‘no intention’ of letting Jakub Kiwior leave this month
Of all the players who could leave north London in the near future, Jakub Kiwior was thought to be at the top of the list.
Arsenal were willing to sell Kiwior in January along with two other defenders, a player who simply hasn’t been able to challenge Gabriel Magalhaes at left centre-back.

However, reports in Italy are now stating that Arsenal are outright refusing to lose Kiwior in January.
Kiwior arrived for £21m in 2023, a fee the club were thought to be happy to recoup and move on from.
But according to Tuttomercato, Arsenal have ‘no intention’ to sell Kiwior this month, a real change of heart.
The report states that Kiwior has received ‘several offers’ this month already, from clubs across Europe.
However, all of those were loan deals with an option to buy, a deal that simply doesn’t work for the Gunners.
Arsenal have no interest in allowing Kiwior to leave on loan or permanently this month, given the disruption that finding a replacement would cause.
Arsenal could be set for summer exodus under Tomas Rosicky
Of course, Arsenal would be more open to talks in the summer, something that the report also confirms.
It’s going to be a summer of change in north London, given Thomas Partey and Jorginho are also currently set to leave as free agents.
In addition, Leandro Trossard has rejected a new contract, perhaps meaning that the club will look to cash-in on the winger in the summer when he’ll only have one season left on his deal.
All of this explains why Arsenal will want to have their new sporting director in place promptly.
And fortunately, it now seems as if Tomas Rosicky will return to Arsenal after impressing during his time in charge of Sparta Prague.
