Arsenal are expected to be one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners did nothing in January, and even though they brought in a few players last summer, they are still short of options in multiple areas of their pitch.
In the upcoming window, Arsenal will almost definitely splash big cash on a new striker, while a wide player is also a necessity.
The Gunners need midfield reinforcements too as Thomas Partey and Jorginho could leave the club, while a backup goalkeeper will also be a necessity after Neto’s loan spell ends.
Everything is in place for it to be an exciting window for Arsenal fans, and all eyes are on which striker Mikel Arteta will bring in.
Charles Watts has shared an update on one player.
Charles Watts makes Harry Kane to Arsenal claim
The news of Harry Kane’s release clause has led to a lot of speculation over the last few weeks.
The England international, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, is having a great time in Germany. He has been phenomenal there.
However, a release clause in his contract makes him available for a transfer for £65 million this summer.
Many people view that as an absolute bargain, and Paul Merson has even backed Arsenal to sign Kane this summer despite his Tottenham allegiances.
However, Watts has ruled that out. He has claimed that ‘there’s no way’ Kane will join Arsenal, and he believes that the Gunners won’t consider him either because of his age.
He wrote in his column on the Daily Briefing: “There’s no way Harry Kane would ever go to Arsenal. The talk of Harry Kane and Arsenal just seems farcical to me. People are just putting two and two together and coming out with five.
“Yes, Arsenal need a striker and yes, Harry Kane has a £65m release clause that will become active in the summer. But come on, does anyone really believe that Arsenal is a likely destination?
“Kane wouldn’t consider it and even if he did, I don’t think Arsenal would because of his age. He would be 32 by the time next season kicked off, so it’s just not something the club would do.
“I can’t see him leaving Bayern so soon anyway. Even if they do win the league this season, which looks very likely, I’m sure he will want to win even more over there before he does return to the Premier League.
“And when that does finally happen, I imagine it will be back to Spurs.”

There’s only one striker Arsenal should sign this summer
Arsenal have been linked with more than a dozen strikers over the last few months.
That number will increase in the coming weeks, and we won’t be surprised at all if the rumour mill throws Kane’s name into the hat as well.
However, if Arsenal want to go to the next level and become the best team in the world, there’s only one striker they should be looking to sign – Alexander Isak.
The Swede is the best striker in the Premier League right now, and many people feel that he is what Arsenal are missing at the moment.
If Arteta can sign Isak this summer, we are convinced that they will win the Premier League next season.
