Player sales will be high on Andrea Berta’s agenda going into 2026.
The Gunners spent over £200 million on eight new signings in the summer transfer window, and they will need to recoup some of that money.
Ben White has emerged as a shock candidate for a sale, while reports have claimed that Arsenal will listen to offers for Gabriel Martinelli as well.
Another player whom Mikel Arteta and Berta want to sell is Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal’s plan to sell Gabriel Jesus in 2026
Jesus hasn’t played a minute of football this season.
The Brazilian suffered a serious knee injury back in January and had to undergo surgery. He is closing in on a return now and has even started training with the team again.
Arsenal have Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino all ahead of Jesus in the pecking order, but two of those three players are currently injured.
That opens the door for Jesus to get some minutes once the doctors declare him fit, but that is not the only reason why he could get game time.
The Daily Mail have revealed that Arsenal want to ‘advertise’ Jesus’ talents for potential suitors by giving him opportunities to play in December.
If acceptable offers land on the table, the plan is to sell him in January. If not, he has been earmarked for a sale in the summer of 2026.

Gabriel Jesus could ruin Arsenal’s plans
Arsenal are right to be thinking about life after Jesus. The Brazilian is nowhere near the top of the pecking order, and that is unlikely to change.
Selling him in one of the two windows in 2026 would be the correct move, but the former Manchester City man could ruin that plan.
Jesus has claimed that he wants to stay at Arsenal until his contract ends in 2027. The Brazilian has also expressed his willingness to extend his deal beyond that time.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but if Jesus just refuses to leave, Arsenal will either be stuck with him or will have to pay him off to terminate his deal.
That would not be ideal.
