Mikel Arteta wants to add Morgan Rogers to Arsenal’s English core
Mikel Arteta is intent on building a strong English core at Arsenal, and Morgan Rogers could be the latest Englishman to join, according to Henry Winter.
The Gunners already have a big group of English talents at the Emirates Stadium, and Rogers could now be the latest Englishman to head through the door.
Speaking to The Football Boardroom, Winter said: “Just one thing on Arsenal, if Morgan Rogers does go there, and it’s something someone close to the club mentioned to me.
“He said that you look at Arteta, and he seems to be building an element of an English core there.”
🤔 Which Arsenal players are missing from the UCL Team of the Season?
Rogers will be heading away with England this summer and joining up with four current Arsenal stars in North America.
Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze are the four Arsenal stars who will be with Rogers this summer at the World Cup.
Not only because he is English, but Rogers would be a very typical Arteta signing, given his physicality, versatility and injury record.
Arsenal are very keen on Rogers’ versatility, and they believe that his ability to play in the ten or left wing would make him a great asset.
