Arsenal’s attention is set to turn to outgoings after securing the signings of Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres is set to sign for £63 million from Sporting CP, with the deal expected to be made public by the end of this week.

Meanwhile, Mosquera will join Arsenal from Valencia for £17 million, having already flown to Singapore to meet up with Mikel Arteta’s camp.

Andrea Berta will now focus on shifting a number of squad players on for significant fees, with the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson all on the chopping block.

Marco Silva responds to Reiss Nelson transfer question

Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal training after his loan spell at Fulham last season, and managed a ten-minute cameo against AC Milan on Wednesday in Singapore.

Despite returning to the Gunners fold, the Hale End star isn’t expected to stay in North London this summer.

Nelson has been linked with a return to Fulham, while the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham have also been mooted as potential suitors for the winger.

Asked about whether the Cottagers will revitalise their interest in the Hale End star, Fulham boss Marco Silva produced a coy response.

“Reiss Nelson was with us last season; he was very unlucky in terms of his injury record last season,” he told Sky Sports News.

“Perhaps in his best moment of the season, he had a bad injury that broke the momentum of him.

“But he’s not our player right now, he’s an Arsenal player so I’m not going to talk about players from another club.”

Nelson made just 12 appearances for the West London outfit last season, with his campaign plagued by two serious injuries.

How much should Arsenal get for Reiss Nelson?

Nelson has been described as ‘excellent’ by football analyst Ben Mattinson.

While he is indeed talented, the wide forward has never been able to stay fit, and thus it’s very difficult to gauge what his true level is.

The sample size has always been too small to properly assess him, and this will play into a potential price tag.

Any potential suitor is essentially taking a significant risk on the player, while his injury issues and wages also make him a difficult player for Arsenal to move on.

If the Gunners can garner anywhere between £10 and £15 million for Nelson, then Berta has done incredibly well with the sale.
