One newly-promoted side have now entered the race to sign one Arsenal outcast in this summer transfer window.
With transfer activity set to pick up in the coming weeks, Arsenal are expected to be busy, as Mikel Arteta will be determined to upgrade his squad ahead of the new season.
In order to make space for new arrivals at the Emirates Stadium, though, players will have to be moved on. Jakub Kiwior could leave Arsenal this summer, Arteta is also open to offers for Thomas Partey.
There are plenty of players who could leave the club in this transfer window, but perhaps Aaron Ramsdale is the individual with the most pressing need to seek pastures new.
The goalkeeper lost his starting berth at the Emirates Stadium last season, following the arrival of David Raya on loan from Brentford. The North London club recently confirmed the signing of the Spanish shot-stopper on a permanent basis.
At this stage in his career, Ramsdale needs to be playing regularly. The 26-year-old has shown in his time at the Emirates Stadium that he has what it takes to shine in the Premier League. However, his prospects of becoming a more integral figure at international level depend upon him getting more game time for his club.
Arsenal could also use the funds that they would raise with the sale of Ramsdale. With Arteta keen to invest in upgrades in numerous parts of the pitch, it is vital that the Gunners sell well this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with several goalkeepers who could replace the 5-cap England star. Now, they need a suitor to come forward with a suitable offer for the player.

Southampton eye deal for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale
According to The Sun (14/07/2024, page 58), Southampton are now considering a move for the ‘keeper, with Arsenal demanding a fee in the region of the £30 million they paid to prise Ramsdale away from Sheffield United in the first place.
Even if the Saints come forward with an appropriate offer for Ramsdale, it remains to be seen if he would be interested in joining the south coast club who have only just secured promotion back to the Premier League.
Southampton could easily find themselves fighting for top flight survival next season, and Ramsdale may feel that he has earned the right to play for a club with aspirations higher up the table.
