Arsenal are still trying to sell a few of their players before the summer transfer window shuts.

Emile Smith Rowe is the only big name that Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta have managed to move on this summer, and that was a great deal for all parties.

It was sad seeing the Englishman leave, but it was a deal that simply had to be done by Arsenal. Now there are a few more sales that need to be completed.

One of them is Eddie Nketiah, and the Englishman is attracting plenty of interest.

Everton could bid for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah if one thing happens

It is clear at this point that Nketiah’s future lies away from Arsenal.

The England international has Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard all ahead of him in the pecking order, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

That’s why Nketiah wants to leave Arsenal immediately, and there have been a number of clubs interested in his signature this summer.

Marseille tried really hard to sign him but couldn’t meet Edu’s demands. Bournemouth are also keen to sign Nketiah as they look for a replacement for Dominic Solanke.

Now, TeamTalk have named the other club who could join the race – Everton.

The report claims that the Toffees are in the market for a new striker as Sean Dyche hopes to strengthen his attack ahead of the start of the new season.

Nketiah’s name is said to be ‘gradually climbing their shortlist of targets’, and Everton could make a bid to sign him in the coming days.

However, one thing has to happen for the Toffees before they can make a move for him – Dominic Calvert-Lewin needs to be sold.

The other problem for Everton is that Edu is standing firm on his £30 million demand for Nketiah. That’s why Dyche’s side are also keeping an eye on other strikers on the market.

Should Edu reduce his asking price to push Nketiah out?

There has been a lot of debate on Arsenal’s valuation of Nketiah.

Marseille were desperate to sign the striker and even made a couple of bids to get him. However, Edu rejected all of them and made it clear that he wants £30 million.

Many Arsenal fans have backed Edu’s demand for Nketiah, but there are a few who feel we should take what we can get and get rid of him.

However, we think Edu is right to stick to his demands and should not budge.

Nketiah is an England international who isn’t even in his prime yet. He is someone who will guarantee goals when he plays regularly and is more than capable of delivering the goods for many clubs in the Premier League.

If Bournemouth and Everton want Nketiah, they should be told to pay the asking price this summer.
