Arsenal have kept a close eye on a lot of players in this summer transfer window, and they clearly paid a lot of attention to proceedings at Euro 2024.
Riccardo Calafiori impressed with Italy before moving to the Gunners, whilst tournament winner Mikel Merino scored a clutch winner in the quarter-final against hosts Germany, and is now expected to join Arsenal.
Calafiori is the only signing Mikel Arteta has made this summer, and other Premier League sides have done more business so far. However, they look set to do more business in the latter stages of the window.
Arsenal were previously interested in a deal for Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu, and the 24-year-old certainly impressed at the Euros. However, they now face competition from other sides in the Premier League for his signature.

Brighton make offer for Arsenal target Ferdi Kadioglu
It has now been reported by Turkiye Today that Brighton have made a £30m offer for Kadioglu, who is still attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
Kadioglu played at left-back for Turkey in the Euros, but is capable of playing in midfield and on the wings as well.
Arsenal legend Lee Dixon was particularly impressed by Kadioglu during the Euros, and suggested that his best role is as a wing-back.
“Looks an absolute star doesn’t he tonight? I think that wing-back role really suits him as well,” Dixon stated on ITV.
If Arsenal are to follow up their previous scouting and interest in Kadioglu, they will need to act fast.
Arsenal no longer need Ferdi Kadioglu
Kadioglu could have been a fine utility addition for Arsenal as a player who could cover multiple positions to a high level across the pitch.
However, the arrival of Calafiori, and the expected arrival of Merino means he is no longer a necessary addition.
If Kadioglu had joined, he would likely have been primarily eyed up as a left-back, but he will likely move elsewhere with no more interest from Arsenal.
He is one of many players Arsenal will have done their due diligence on, with Arteta keen on going the extra mile when it comes to targeting transfers, but he could now move to Brighton, and could even appear at the Emirates later this month if his move goes through.
