Mikel Arteta has a huge decision to make on Transfer Deadline Day between Kingsley Coman and Raheem Sterling.
Arsenal now have the chance to make a late addition to their attacking contingent before the summer transfer window closes.
This will come as music to the ears of Ian Wright. The Arsenal legend feels back up for Bukayo Saka should be the Gunners’ top priority in terms of what they are still looking for in the market.
Both Raheem Sterling and Kingsley Coman would be able to offer support for the Hale End academy graduate.
Arsenal have been offered Sterling, who has been informed that he has no future at Chelsea. The 29-year-old attacker is now on the hunt for a new club, and a switch to the Emirates Stadium would certainly appeal to him.
Sterling would need a pay cut to join Arsenal, but he is keen to work with Mikel Arteta, who he will know well from his time working with the Spanish coach at Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Coman is also available to Arsenal, as the Frenchman is keen to move on from Bayern Munich.

Should Arsenal sign Raheem Sterling or Kingsley Coman?
There are positives and negatives to either of these additions. Whilst neither fully fit the kind of age profile that the Gunners tend to target with their transfer business, as the younger of the two at 28-years-old, Coman offers slightly less of a concern in this regard.
However, the 57-cap France international also lacks any previous Premier League experience. On top of that, his lack of a killer instinct in front of goal may also represent a cause for concern.
Coman has never before reached double figures in terms of goals in a single league campaign in his entire career.
Sterling, on the other hand, has been prolific in the top flight of English football in the past, albeit he has struggled to recapture this form in his time at Stamford Bridge.
Arteta will back himself to be able to coax the best out of the 82-cap England star again, though. Sterling will also arrive at Arsenal familiar and comfortable with the manager’s ethos and style of play, meaning he ought to be able to hit the ground running.
Both of these deals come with an element of risk, but with time running out now is the time for Arteta to take the kind of chance that could ultimately pay off handsomely in the Premier League title race.
Coman would be an awkward fit at Arsenal though, and Sterling offers the more promising solution.
Arsenal fans engage in Sterling vs Coman debate
Many Arsenal fans on X have been discussing the prospect of signing either Sterling or Coman, with supporters coming down on either side of the argument.
One said: “They’re both pretty equal imo(I like Sterling more) but Coman has a horrible injury track record. We’d essentially risk ending up with the same problems we have with Jesus.”
Another stated: “Nooo… we need Kingsley Coman doesn’t matter if Sterling is the cheaper option or for free. Arsenal need to think logically and Coman is a better player.”
One added: “If it’s between Coman and Sterling , I think Sterling is better option especially as reported here we will pay nothing to chelsea and he’ll cut his wage then he’s a good option to cover both wings.”
Another fan chipped in with: “Raheem Sterling or Kingsley Coman on deadline day it’ll be one of them that comes through the door and at this stage I would say Kingsley Coman is the likely one that does end up at Arsenal. If so I’m gonna be very happy with that outcome.”
