One Arsenal player is now prepared to leave the Gunners to join another club in London.
Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar are really busy in the transfer market. They aren’t just trying to bring in new signings but work is going on to offload a few of their current players too.
Arsenal have placed 10 players on the chopping block, and almost all of them are expected to be moved on in this window – either on loan deals or permanently.
Now, there is an update on the future of one of them.
Reiss Nelson is ready to leave Arsenal for another London club
Reiss Nelson has been at Arsenal since he was just nine years old.
The talented attacker came through the ranks in the academy and was always viewed as an elite talent during his time with the youth sides.
Nelson even showed huge promise when he was sent out on loan to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. He only started five games there but managed to score seven times.
The Englishman has scored some important goals at Arsenal too – the late winner against Bournemouth is the first one that springs to mind.
However, the 24-year-old is nowhere near the top of Arteta’s pecking order, which is why Nelson is expected to leave Arsenal this summer.
GiveMeSport claim that West Ham United are interested in signing Nelson in this window. Julen Lopetegui is keen to strengthen his attack, and the Arsenal man is viewed as a good option.
The report further claims that Nelson is open to a move to the London Stadium.
It has been claimed that he wants to stay in the capital if he leaves the Emirates, which gives the Hammers a boost in their pursuit to sign him.

The transfer fee Arsenal want for Nelson
Nelson has never been a regular for Arsenal, but he is still a big asset.
The Englishman is absolutely rapid, can play on either wing and has the ability to score goals if he’s given regular opportunities. The fact that he is still only 24 makes him an even more attractive option for interested clubs.
That’s why West Ham are interested in Nelson, and we won’t be surprised if a few other clubs in the Premier League join the race for him as well.
Arsenal are in a strong position in potential negotiations for Nelson. The winger signed a new contract in 2023 and that does not expire for three more years. The Gunners even have an option to extend that deal by 12 months – until 2028.
That is good news, and reports have claimed that Arsenal want in excess of £25 million to let him go in this window.
If Edu can get that fee, it would be a fantastic bit of business from him.
