Ten Arsenal players are now available for sale in the upcoming summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta is planning a rebuild.
Arsenal were able to keep pace with Manchester City this season.
The Gunners took the Premier League title race down to the final day of the campaign, but Pep Guardiola’s side were able to claim their fourth successive title triumph with a win over West Ham United.
In the aftermath of this disappointment, Mikel Arteta made a vow to Arsenal fans that silverware is on its way to the Emirates Stadium. However, in order to make good on this promise, the Spanish coach will need to take his squad to the next level again over the course of the summer transfer window.
Arteta is keen to invest in several areas of his squad. Arsenal are on the hunt for a new left-back. Several strikers have been linked with a switch to North London, whilst Arsenal also need to bolster their midfield contingent.
However, in order to make room for these new arrivals, space will need to be cleared in the Gunners’ current squad.

Ten Arsenal players put up for sale as Mikel Arteta prepares for Manchester City challenge
Cedric Soares and Mohamed Elneny are already set to depart as free agents, but more players will be sold on over the course of the summer.
According to a report in GiveMeSport, ten first team figures have been put “on the chopping block,” as Arteta is looking to make room for the kind of upgrades who will improve the team enough to see them finally surpass Manchester City next season.
Aaron Ramsdale, Emile Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Cedric Soares, Fabio Vieira, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Kieran Tierney, and Albert Sambi Lokonga are the ten players who have been made available to potential suitors.
Which Arsenal players need to leave this summer?
Arsenal are aware that Ramsdale is likely to leave the club. Meanwhile, Lokonga has already confirmed that he is looking for a new club. Arteta also has a decision to make between Smith Rowe and Vieira. Tierney clearly isn’t in the manager’s plans, having spent the season on loan at Real Sociedad, whilst the likes of Nketiah and Nelson need to be playing regular football at this stage in their careers and won’t get that chance at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are unlikely to move all of these players on, but will clearly consider reasonable offers for any of them. This suggests that Arteta has big plans for incoming signings.
