Arsenal are looking to upgrade their current wide options.
Especially on the left flank, Arsenal are pretty light with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, particularly compared to some of the best teams in the world.
To really advance to the next level, having fallen short in the Champions League final, the Gunners need a bit more firepower in that position.

That said, it has been reported that Arsenal are considering a swap deal with Manchester United to sign Marcus Rashford, with Martinelli going the other way.
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski clearly feels that’d be a brilliant signing for Arsenal after heaping praise on the 28-year-old last year.

Robert Lewandowski loves Arsenal target Marcus Rashford
Amid links to the Emirates Stadium, we’ve looked at what some of Rashford’s Barcelona colleagues thought about him last season.
Lewandowski, in particular, was extremely complimentary.
“He has pretty huge potential. You know as a player, as football peers, he has everything.
“You know, he’s fast, with the ball he’s really good, one against one on the side, he can play one against two even.
“The last pass on the side also he sees a lot, so he has really huge potential and he can help us a lot and I’m really sure that of course the expectation can be high for him, but if he shows his best football, he will be a really good player and I hope that he can help us a lot in the season.”
What’s the first thing you would say if Arsenal and Manchester United swapped Gabriel Martinelli and Marcus Rashford?
Barca manager Hansi Flick also spoke glowingly of the Gunners target: “I think he’s a fantastic player. His skills are unbelievable and his finishing is unbelievable.”
Rashford would certainly be an upgrade on Martinelli, and with Arteta’s coaching ability, he can become a prolific goalscorer to help take the load off Bukayo Saka on the opposite wing.
Arsenal have also looked at Christos Tzolis at Club Brugge, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola is on their shortlist, too.
