Anthony Gordon could be one of the biggest names to move on during the summer transfer window.

Gordon has been linked with Arsenal already as Newcastle prepare to fend off a number of offers for the former Everton man this summer.

Does Anthony Gordon REALLY improve Arsenal’s XI? If so, how much are YOU paying for him if you’re Arsenal?

Bayern Munich are also keen on Gordon, with the player himself making no secret of his desire to test himself at the very highest level possible.

With the summer window just weeks away from really kicking into gear, all eyes are on if Arsenal or Bayern will make the first move. And according to Fabrizio Romano, Gordon’s future is one to watch carefully.

Fabrizio Romano gives transfer update on Anthony Gordon

With Arsenal’s desire to sign a left winger this summer, it is little wonder we’ve seen Gordon linked with a move.

Gordon is expected to play for England this summer in the World Cup. However, it appears it doesn’t matter how he plays there, with Fabrizio Romano revealing there is now a serious chance he moves on.

“I can reveal that Anthony Gordon has really serious chances to leave Newcastle United in the summer window,” Romano revealed on YouTube.

“At the moment, Bayern are interested in the player. Premier League clubs could appear on the scene as well and at the moment it is between Bayern and Premier League clubs. Anthony Gordon is attracting serious interest and could be one of the names to watch.

“It also depends on the price tag. But according to my information, there is a serious possibility that Gordon leaves Newcastle this summer. Bayern are really interested, he’s part of a three man shortlist for Bayern to sign a new winger.”

With Gabriel Martinelli underperforming this season in terms of goal output and Noni Madueke hardly setting the world alight, Arsenal do need a winger.

Furthermore, Leandro Trossard is among a cluster of players who could be moved on by Mikel Arteta.

Newcastle are expected to ask for at least £75m for Gordon, although some have suggested a fee closer to £100m might be more realistic.

One worry for Arsenal would be Gordon’s own output this season. He has only scored six goals all season across all competitions.
