Arsenal are intent on adding a winger to Mikel Arteta’s ranks this summer.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s futures are uncertain, with both players said to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling will return to Chelsea once his loan spell ends, and Gabriel Jesus is out for some time with an ACL injury.
This leaves the Gunners in desperate need of a new wide man, with several links to numerous different players already surfacing.

Arsenal ‘in contact’ with Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman
It’s well-documented that Nico Williams is Arsenal’s primary winger target heading into the summer.
However, the Spaniard has shown this season that he’s still raw, and thus, the Gunners are eyeing potential alternatives if they ultimately opt not to pursue the Athletic Club man.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are in contact with Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman’s representatives.
The two parties are in ongoing communication, although the North Londoners face competition from Saudi Arabia for the Frenchman’s signature.
Coman is expected to leave Bayern this summer, after having spent ten years at the German club, making over 300 appearances and winning multiple honours in the process.
Would Kingsley Coman be a good signing for Arsenal?
Arsenal have been linked with Coman in the past, with the deal never quite coming to fruition.
The 28-year-old is certainly a talented footballer, and would bring a wealth of experience to N5.
Winning 12 league titles throughout his career, as well as the Champions League, he has the pedigree to excel in the Premier League at Arsenal.
However, his age and seeming decline in prominence at Bayern should be a cause for concern for the Emirates hierarchy, who are contemplating making a move for him.
| Coman’s Bundesliga Statistics 2024/25 | |
| Appearances | 23 |
| Goals | 4 |
| Assists | 4 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.26 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.32 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.56 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.34 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.99 |
As shown by the data above, Coman’s underlying numbers are still impressive, but his output on the surface level rings alarm bells.
Eight goal contributions in 23 appearances, playing for the dominant side in the Bundesliga, is certainly not good enough.
Combine this red flag with the likely extortionate wages he’d demand, and this deal doesn’t make sense for Arsenal.
