Arsenal are in the market for a new wide player and are drawing up a shortlist of targets for Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal’s current wide options just haven’t contributed enough in the final third, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard netting just six Premier League goals between them.
Should Mikel Arteta drop Martin Zubimendi?
Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh has emerged as a surprise target for the Gunners, having registered six goal involvements for the Seagulls.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is also being considered by Arteta, but it’s understood that the Georgian is settled in France.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on one of Arsenal’s other targets, Anthony Gordon, as it’s being reported that Newcastle could sanction his sale.
England manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the former Everton talisman.

Thomas Tuchel loves Arsenal target Anthony Gordon
Speaking to the media last October, Tuchel heaped praise on Arsenal target Anthony Gordon, explaining that he’s ‘so good’ at beating his man with pace.
“He is a direct player, I think this is his biggest strength, to go direct and go again and again,” the England manager stated.
“To have this repetition in his intensity. He just collects high intensity runs, he collects metres in sprints and this is so, so good.
If you could sign ONLY ONE of Tonali, Livramento, or Gordon for Arsenal, who are you taking and why?
“It’s important that he knows his strengths and plays exactly into his strengths. Now we play a high-press and he’s important against the ball.”
Tuchel has just described the perfect winger for Arteta, as he loves his attackers to be direct but also hard-working in the defensive aspect of the game.
So, it wouldn’t at all be surprising if Arsenal launch a bid for Gordon, however, they’ll be keen to negotiate his £100m price tag down.
They also face stiff competition from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who have already opened talks to land his signature.
Liverpool are circling, too, having tried to sign Gordon two summers ago.
