Arsenal’s hunt for a new forward has seen them land on interest in Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Gittens as a potential transfer option.
It comes as the Gunners are desperately looking to sign another attacking player for the future, with injuries currently tearing through the ranks.
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Nico Williams, but the Athletic Bilbao star is unlikely to join this January.
With that being the case, recent reports have stated Arsenal’s interest in Jamie Gittens, given his impressive form for Borussia Dortmund.
It’s a move that could see Gabriel Martinelli replaced on the left wing, while adding plenty of depth on the right as well.
While the 20-year-old appears to be an option for Arsenal, they aren’t alone in tracking Jamie Gittens this winter.

Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Man United join Arsenal in Jamie Gittens transfer race
While Arsenal are interested in Gittens, they are far from being alone in monitoring the progress of the young winger.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United are “seriously interested” in a switch.
Gittens, who is English and made the move from Man City to Borussia Dortmund as a youngster, is yet to make a decision on his future.
It is claimed that if his side is to fail in their bid to qualify for the Champions League then a sale is likely, pointing towards an exit in the summer, rather than January.
It also suggests Arsenal will have their work cut out in order to get a deal over the line, with plenty of teams queuing up for a deal.

How good is Jamie Gittens?
One of the main questions surrounding Jamie Gittens is just how good he can get, with the 20-year-old showing promising signs of being a star for the future.
At Borussia Dortmund, his meteoric rise puts him among the top players in his age brackets, with the numbers to back it up.
| Appearances | 26 |
| Goals | 11 |
| Assists | 5 |
As a right-footed left winger, Gittens is capable of cutting inside and shooting, which has landed him 11 goals so far in all competitions.
Whether that can translate to other leagues is an unknown though, with some wingers struggling to make the switch from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.
Arsenal are in the hunt to land stars for the future though, with Gittens amongst those who are likely to be at the very top of world football.
