One Championship club could now be set to bring two former Arsenal stars back together again on the pitch.
Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is currently on the books with Cardiff City, where he began his career before joining the North London club in the summer of 2008.
Ramsey went on to make 369 appearances for the Gunners, across all competitions, before joining Juventus in 2019.
The Welshman scored 64 goals for Arsenal, and won three FA Cups with the club, scoring the winning goal in two of the finals.
Ramsey won FA Cups in 2014, 2015, and 2017, all whilst Arsene Wenger was at the helm.
The 33-year-old now looks set to be reunited with a player who enjoyed one of those successes with him, as Calum Chambers is closing in on a move to Cardiff.
Chambers was an important part of the Gunners’ journey to their 2015 FA Cup triumph. Whilst the defender did not feature in the final at Wembley Stadium, he did make four appearances in the competition, helping Arsenal on their way to glory.

Former Arsenal duo Aaron Ramsey and Calum Chambers set for Cardiff City reunion
According to journalist Glen Williams, reporting on X, Cardiff are on the verge of signing Chambers from Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old left Arsenal in the January of 2022, having failed to establish himself as a regular starter under Mikel Arteta. He made 122 appearances for the club in total.
Unfortunately for the 3-cap England international, he was never able to make himself a regular at Villa Park, and is now leaving after three seasons in which he amassed a total of just 30 Premier League outings for the Midlands outfit.
He will now be desperate to get his career back on track in the second tier. He will have a familiar face, in the form of Ramsey, to welcome him to the Welsh capital city and to help him settle in to his new surroundings.
It is fair to say that neither player has been able to recapture the heights that they hit at their best for Arsenal since leaving the club.
Ramsey still has relationship with Arsenal
Ramsey remains supportive of Arsenal, and is fondly remembered at the Emirates Stadium. Whilst injuries were a recurrent issue throughout his career, his name is etched in the club’s history due to his FA Cup exploits.
Ramsey recently returned to Arsenal to visit the Hale End academy.
