The Julian Alvarez transfer saga has been making the headlines, and Arsenal fans are watching the developments closely.
The Atletico Madrid star is one of the best in the business, and he is on the wish list of a few elite clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports have claimed that Alvarez wants to join Barcelona, but a move to the Camp Nou has stalled, opening the door for the Gunners.
But there is a problem.
Imagine you are Andrea Berta. Who is your top target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window?
Julian Alvarez does not want to join Arsenal
Julian Alvarez has the ability to play for any club in the world.
The Argentine can play anywhere in attack, is incredible with the ball, has exceptional work rate, and has proved that he can score goals and provide assists on a consistent basis.
That is why Arsenal, PSG and Barcelona all want to sign Alvarez, but a move to the Camp Nou has all but collapsed.
Cadena Ser have revealed that Alvarez to Barca is ‘absolutely stagnant’ at the moment, so much so that Atleti are planning for next season with their World Cup winner in the squad.

The report claims that the only transfer option for Alvarez now is Arsenal, which will excite Gooners. But there is a catch.
It has been revealed that the former Manchester City man has no interest in a move to Arsenal. He simply does not want to move to London.
So, as things stand, Alvarez will stay at Atletico Madrid next season.

Arsenal can’t only have Julian Alvarez on their wish list
Arsenal are absolutely right to target Alvarez, but he cannot be their only option.
It was always going to be difficult to sign the Argentine, and now that he has no interest in returning to the Premier League, it has become almost impossible.
If that stance doesn’t change, Andrea Berta will have to look at alternative options, but there aren’t many of Alvarez’s ability available.
It remains to be seen how the Arsenal sporting director will tackle this obstacle over the next two months.
