Marc Guehi is the name on everyone’s lips at the moment as Arsenal are believed to have joined the race to sign him.
The Crystal Palace defender is set to move on from Selhurst Park and Arsenal are among those to have put their name in the hat for Guehi.
Quite whether anyone will stump up the cash for Guehi now or hold ground until the summer, remains to be seen. With Liverpool and Man City also in the mix, it really does look like anyone’s ball game.
Arsenal enter the Marc Guehi race, in your own words WHY?
But in reality, the ball might well be in Guehi’s court and going into the summer, it seems like the England man could well let things pan out a while yet.
Marc Guehi’s likely destination amid Arsenal’s interest
Guehi is one of the most in-demand players in the market right now and it makes sense that Arsenal, City and Liverpool are all in the hunt.
However, when it comes to where Guehi does land, one ITK journalist believes things might play out for a while.

Speaking on the Anfield Index podcast, Liverpool journalist David Lynch went into the Guehi situation a bit.
And according to Lynch, things could well linger on into the summer.
“What I’m being told at the moment is it is the preference at the moment on the player side to stay until the until summer to give himself that opportunity to have all those choices and of course the payday is much bigger,” Lynch confirmed.
“The one thing you can’t predict here and and this is the thing that that could change things is if City put a huge sum of money in front of Crystal Palace that that makes their mind up for them and they put a huge sum of money in front of Mark Guehi that makes his mind up for him. Then you can’t rule them out and it’s always possible they do that.”
Could Marc Guehi sway the Premier League title race?
If Guehi does move on in January, then it’s likely to be a signing that makes a big impact, especially at the summit of the table.
Of course, signing for Liverpool won’t make too much difference as the Reds look out of things for now and it would take a miracle for them to reel in Arsenal and City.
However, should Guehi move to either the Gunners or the Manchester outfit this January, then that weighs heavily on where the title might end up.
What changes would you make to our predicted Arsenal XI vs Portsmouth?
Guehi’s ability and presence in strengthening both squads would be massive and while he wouldn’t be a regular for Arsenal straight away, the fact they’d got him ahead of City could swing things.
On the other hand, Guehi to City could see them have enough in the tank to go on one of their infamous late season runs.
Ultimately, where Guehi ends up could prove crucial this season.
