Arsenal have now made a clear decision between Pedro Neto and Raphinha when it comes to which player to pursue a move for.
Arsenal are known to be on the hunt for a winger this summer.
Mikel Arteta will want to bolster his options in the wide areas, as as things stand the Gunners lack trusted cover for Bukayo Saka.
It is clear that the manager does not have full faith in Reiss Nelson, who was only afforded one Premier League start last season. In any case, Nelson is now being linked with a move to West Ham United.
Arsenal are interested in signing Nico Williams, but now find themselves behind Barcelona in the race for the Spanish international’s signature.
However, Barcelona could still play a role in solving Arteta’s winger woes.

Arsenal given choice to make between Pedro Neto and Raphinha
According to TeamTalk, the La Liga giants have offered Raphinha to the Gunners. However, Arsenal would rather chase a deal for Wolves ace Pedro Neto, with the club having very recently held “talks” with the player’s agent.
Whilst Raphinha is undoubtedly a fine player, the 27-year-old does not offer the same kind of resale value or potential for improvement as the 24-year-old Neto. What’s more, the Barcelona man will almost certainly currently be on significantly higher wages than his Midlands-based counterpart.
It has been said before that Saka would benefit from Arsenal signing Neto. Certainly, the Portuguese ace’s presence in Arteta’s squad would make it easier for the Spanish coach to occasionally rest and rotate the Hale End academy graduate.
However, Arsenal have been warned off signing Neto due to the persistent injury issues that he has suffered with throughout his career so far. Last season, he only managed 24 appearances for Wolves. Whilst he was able to rack up an impressive 3 goals and 11 assists in those outings, his recurrent fitness problems will surely give Arteta pause for thought.
In any case, It is hard to imagine the Gunners being overly keen on signing Raphinha. The Brazilian winger has been unable to consistently impress for Barcelona, since joining from Leeds United in the summer of 2022.
Arsenal have shown an interest in signing Raphinha in the past, but have clearly now shifted their focus to alternative, younger targets.
