Arsenal could be on the hunt for a Thomas Partey replacement in the summer transfer window.
Partey is likely to leave the club when his contract expires in June, bringing an end to his five-year stint in N5.
Martin Zubimendi has been heavily linked with Arsenal, while Joshua Kimmich is of interest to Mikel Arteta.
However, with the North Londoners eager to reserve funds to invest in a top level striker, they may be tempted to promote from within in the midfield department, with one specific youngster staking a claim to feature for the first team with his recent performances.

Ife Ibrahim could be Thomas Partey’s long-term replacement after impressive performance
Arsenal crashed out of the FA Youth Cup on Friday night, beaten 3-2 by Manchester United after extra-time at the Emirates Stadium.
Goals from Max Dowman and Louis Copley were cancelled out by finishes from Jack Fletcher and Jaydan Kamason in normal time, before Bendito Mantato’s 99th minute strike sent the Red Devils on their way to the semi-finals of the competition.
Many familiar faces were selected from the start for Arsenal, including the likes of Dowman, Jack Porter, Will Sweet and Marli Salmon.
Dowman stole the show with an electric performance, while Marli Salmon caught the eyes of the on-watching Arsenal faithful.
However, the display of Ife Ibrahim in the middle of the park perhaps went under the radar for the Gunners.
The imperious central midfielder produced an exceptional showing, physically dominating United’s midfield, whilst demonstrating impressive poise and quality in possession.
Possessing similar press resistant qualities to Partey, Ibrahim could be the natural long-term replacement for the Ghanaian.
His outing against United at the Emirates on Friday night was a statement performance, showcasing how he’s physically ready to cope with senior football.
While the 17-year-old may not be capable of taking the mantle from Partey entirely by himself from the start of next season, his emerging presence could prompt the Arsenal hierarchy to think twice about adding two additional midfielders in the summer rather than one.
Identified by one fan on X as one of the five standout performers against the north-west team, Ibrahim was described as ‘fantastic’ and is definitely one worth watching.
Adam Birchall on Arsenal’s youngsters playing at the Emirates
While this may’ve been seen as a run-of-the-mill youth fixture for many on the outside looking in, for several of the players that featured for Arsenal, it was their first experience on the Emirates pitch.
The youth teams are rarely granted the opportunity to play at the home of the men’s first team, and thus last night would’ve been a special occasion for many of them.
Speaking on this to Arsenal.com, under-18 coach Adam Birchall said: “Look around you! This is a spectacular place to come and play your football.
“It’s where a lot of these lads will go to bed at night dreaming of playing in the end.
“When the dust settles, I know that they’ll never forget this night. But we need to make sure that this night, regardless of the score, is a springboard to go and kick on and try to build a career.”
