Scott Parker has heaped praise on Arsenal after Mikel Arteta’s team eased past Burnley on Saturday afternoon at Turf Moor.

The Gunners strolled to victory in Lancashire, courtesy of first-half goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice.

Gyokeres nodded Arsenal in front from a corner early on, before Rice powerfully headed home to double the North Londoners’ advantage before the break.

The result sees Arteta’s outfit move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and Parker is confident that they’ll go on to win the title.

Scott Parker says Arsenal have ‘every single ingredient’ to win the Premier League

Arsenal were outstanding against Burnley.

The Gunners were fluid and cohesive in the final third, while they restricted the Clarets to just three shots throughout the 90 minutes.

They’ve now won ten games in a row in all competitions, and have still conceded just three goals all season.

Arteta’s side look imperious and like they’ll go on to win every single game they play, with relative ease.

Speaking to the media after the clash at Turf Moor, Burnley boss Parker was full of praise for the exceptional Gunners.

“They are a very, very good team,” the manager said.

“They are a team that, I believe, has every single ingredient to go on and win the league this year. In every facet of their game: defensively, attacking-wise, set plays. They are a top, top team.”

Arsenal fans will be delighted that their excellence has been recognised by another Premier League manager, and will no doubt be getting excited about the prospect of winning the title, given a respected coach believes that they have the capacity to.

Mikel Arteta praised Viktor Gyokeres after Burnley win

Gyokeres was substituted at half-time because of an injury, after being arguably Arsenal’s best player in the opening 45 minutes.

Not only did the Swede find the back of the net from close range, he also masterfully dominated Burnley’s centre-backs, running them ragged with his relentless movement and powerful dribbling.

Arteta was impressed with his number nine’s display, claiming that it was the 27-year-old’s best showing in an Arsenal shirt so far.

“Yeah, before that [coming off], I think this was one of the best games he’s played,” the manager said.

“I think overall his performance was exceptional. A part of the goal, and we had to take him off because he was feeling a little niggle. So we’ll have to wait and see.”
