Arsenal had to settle for a point against Brentford in the Premier League.
The Gunners knew it was going to be a very difficult game against Keith Andrews’ side. Mikel Arteta made that clear before the game.
In fact, even the Bees boss warned Arsenal about his side’s set-piece threat in his pre-match press conference, making it very clear that it would be his side’s main point of attack.
Despite being made aware of that, Arsenal could not stop them.
Name Arsenal’s most disappointing player vs Brentford but you can’t say Eberechi Eze
Arsenal fail despite Keith Andrews’ warning before Brentford clash
Andrews has done a tremendous job at Brentford since replacing Thomas Frank.
The Irishman was tipped by many to be the first manager to be sacked at the start of the campaign, and those very people felt that the Bees would go down as well.
However, Brentford have been one of the best teams in the Premier League this season, and Arsenal found that out the hard way on Thursday night.
When asked about set-pieces before the game, Andrews boldly said: “We cause a lot of chaos ourselves. So I’ll look forward to that story unfolding.”

The Bees’ boss was true to his word and caused a lot of chaos. Michael Kayode’s long throws were so difficult to handle, and the goal Arsenal conceded came from one of those situations.
Andrews must be proud of his side for making his prediction come true, but it’s a bad look for the Gunners, who have widely been hailed as the kings of set-pieces.
It remains to be seen how costly the two dropped points will prove to be at the end of the season.

Answer honestly, are you worried about Arsenal’s mentality in the title race?
Is it a Mikel Arteta problem?
Arsenal need to copy Brentford’s biggest strength
Arsenal are a near-complete side.
The Gunners have the ability to dominate almost every phase of the game, and when they are at their best, no team can really stop them.
However, the game against Brentford showed that Arsenal are lacking what one of the Bees’ biggest strengths is – long throws.
If Arteta manages to add that to his already brilliant side, Arsenal will become even better.
That is why Andrea Berta should sign Michael Kayode this summer.
